And speaking of bizarre fish, here's one of my favourites- the Goblin Shark. Described by people lucky enough to have seen one as almost "bubblegum pink", these deep sea sharks are identifiable by their extendable jaws and sharp bristling teeth. They sport a blade shaped snout that is much longer than most sharks, and very obvious when the jaws are protruding. They can reach a size of over 10 feet long and live about 200 metres deep. They live on deep sea squid, crabs and fish.
This is one of the first fish I made, but also one of the most handsome. One day he'll make a lucky crazy-person very happy.

Goblin sharks hunt by sensing the presence of prey with electro-sensitive organs in the rostrum, or snout, due to the absence of light in the deep waters where it swims. Once a shark finds its prey, it suddenly protrudes its jaws, while using a tongue-like muscle to suck the victim into its sharp front teeth. Some prey they have been known to feed on include deep-sea rockfish, cephalopods and crustaceans.

Real goblin sharks aren't pink, and the eyeball isn't set far enough back in the head. This one is a fake, but based on a real creature.

Anyone can tell it's a fake LOL. Those jaws are usually retracted too. Normally, they look like your typical shark, only with longer snout. When they start feeding, it 'throws' it's jaws forward, as if a new head is popping out! The jaw looks like dentist dentures really.
